The Seminole Public Library will honor its public trust by assuring maximum use of public resources. Furthermore, the Library will stimulate the awareness and use of libraries to promote individual enlightmement, community enrichment, and economic vitality throughout the city.
Full Time - Salary based on experience
In collaboration with the library director, the library assistant will work directly with the public assisting patrons with all aspects of circulation, processing, shelving, sorting, and reference.
Successful candidates will have working knowledge of library methods and procedures, ability to operate library machines properly, keyboarding and filing ability, working knowledge of English grammer and spelling, and willingness to maintain skills in above mentioned areas through active participation in appropriate library skills learning experiences.
Must meet physical and mental demands of position. Flexible work schedule with possible evening and weekend hours required.
Minimum requirement of high school diploma or GED, higher education and/or previous library experience.
